Congrats on reaching the 500 mile mark!! We are so proud of you! I can't believe you are not complaining about tough sleeping accomodations. Already, you are a changed man! Miss you! Love, Ami
Eastern Oregon is considered high desert. It could use some scenery watching. Way to go on the 500 mark. Makes tri's look like pittance. One is over in about 3 hours. We're behind you all the way--way behind--like NJ.
I'm very inspired by your progress. However, your accomodations last night were a bit scary, especially to those of us who consider anything lower than 300-count sheets roughing it. Your uncle and father would have been mystified by all of this (my father never understood why anyone would camp -- much less be away from home for more than two or three days.) I am sure they, like us, however, would have been very impressed. We're thinking of you.
